Starting on a Good Note

In the midst of a world financial crisis, of which we are continuously being reminded, a never ending era of bad governance in the regions of the world where the most consciousness is needed and at a time when we are constantly bombarded by a chronicle of bad news-death, war, human tragedies and hate-it is refreshing to find a site dedicated to reporting good news.

The website, Good News Now, was forwarded to me this morning courtesy of my lovely and always up-to-date husband. I browsed it happily; glad to be reassured that there are countless happy stories to be reported on from around the world every day. That this is so may be apparent to the lot of you, as it should be. But the reality for many of us is that under the heavy weight of the dark chronicles that make up the lot of the daily news, it often seems like the few good news we hear don’t compare to the amount of bad news. This is why good news should be reported on more often and more loudly. In order to remind us that while we do live in a world filled to the brim with problems, it is also filled with just as much positivity.
